First Persian Gulf War

Lane Publishing sold to Time Warner before the first Persian Gulf War. I was active with web design in Jacksonville, Florida, Santa Barbara, California, and New York City before standing on the corner of Church and Chambers Street in Manhattan on September 11, 2001, but my job was to collect information. In fact, the camera I had worked with floppy disks. Floppy disks? The disk was inserted into the box frame of the camera. After the photos were taken, the disk was saved in my back pocket until the photos could be downloaded into a computer. Many people will go an entire lifetime without seeing or hearing about a floppy disk. I doubt that if I retrieved the floppy disks, my stories would come true for my critics. 9/11 is very real for me, especially the faces of the firemen at night as they walked uptown towards Chambers Street on their way north to Chinatown’s Canal Street. Canal Street is where we bought water bottles blind to wash the pulverized glass and cement dust out of our eyes.
